Champak

Champak is one of the largest read children's magazine in the country. I still remember how much I loved that magazine as a kid. Published in 8 languages, Champak is a bouquet of short stories, comic strips, puzzles, brain teasers and jokes that sets the child's imagination free. When I looked at its online edition today, I was overjoyed to see that the beauty of this magazine is still intact even after so many years - good meaningful stories with colourful pictures, puzzles and games, useful information and learning for the kids inter-weaved throughout the magazine! Its just wonderful to have such a gem for our kids in this age of trash entertainment.

Here is one of the puzzles I liked in this month's magazine:

How to subscribe:
Go to delhipress website and select language, country and the subscription plan. The price for 1 year plan (24 issues of champak) is 350 INR. The magazine will be delivered to your address by regular post within 3-5 days.

How to read online:
Delhipress has made a very user-friendly site for reading the magazine online and free of cost.
Go to champakmag.delhipress.in and you will see the image of the current issue of Champak. On clicking the image you would be able to read the magazine page by page. Options are also available to take a printout or to save the magazine as pdf for later reading. You also get to read the previous issues which are available under the 'More' drop-down menu.

Hope you would like it and gift your children a good read, devoid of gory action and violent fantasy.
